No doubt, you’ve heard stories about medical breakthroughs involving stem cells in recent years. But are you aware that stem cells are now being used in cosmetic surgery?
There has been much work done on stem cell populations, particularly in fat, and although progress with stem cells is in the early stages, I am already one of the principal players in this new segment of cosmetic medicine.
I am doing much more fat transfer now, both into the face for volume replacement as well as into selected body areas such as the buttocks, breasts, face and the back of the hands. Your liposuctioned fat is a great source for stem cells. We have the technology to harvest fat from areas of your body where you don’t want it (for example, the abdomen, thighs and buttocks) and separate out the stem cells. This enriched fat can then be injected to plump up areas of the body such as those listed above. The presence of stem cells helps the fat to remain in the injected area much better than fat alone.
To your health & beauty,
