What Is Juvéderm Volbella XC?
Juvéderm Volbella XC is an FDA-approved small molecule injectable dermal filler that helps define lips and correct wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth. As with all of the Juvéderm family of fillers, this advanced filler is made of hyaluronic acid (HA).
Although other hyaluronic acid fillers provide results by increasing the volume of your lips, Juvéderm Volbella XC also reduces wrinkles around the lips and mouth through attraction and retention of moisture. Volbella XC uses a lower concentration of hyaluronic acid than other Juvéderm fillers to provide a soft and smooth dermal filler option.
Volbella XC uses VYCROSS technology making it a long-lasting dermal filler option. Volbella XC contains lidocaine to aid in patient comfort.
Who Is An Ideal Candidate For Volbella?
Patients who are bothered by the vertical lines that appear above the lips (lipstick lines) or lines around the lips and mouth are excellent candidates for Juvéderm Volbella XC Additionally, patients interested in creating symmetrical lips or adding lip volume, or definition with out adding bulk to their lips are excellent candidates.
How Is Juvéderm Volbella XC Injected?
Dr. Chernoff is a certified injection specialist. For more than two decades, he has been training doctors and nurses in advanced injection techniques. Juvéderm Volbella XC is administered in a safe environment and injections are comfortable as the filler contains lidocaine to aid in numbing the treated area.
This treatment has little to no downtime after your injection. Although some patients experience minimal swelling after the injection, it typically subsides within 48 hours. At Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery, patients receiving any injectable are seen one week post-injection.
