Endoscopic & Minimally Invasive
Eyebrow lift procedure has dramatically improved. I use an endoscopic technique that allows me to make a tiny incision that is excellent for men with receding hairlines.
A heavy and droopy brow area can cause hooding of the upper eyelids resulting in a sad or tired appearance. Depending upon the severity of the droop, there are effective non-surgical and surgical eyebrow lift techniques that may help to restore the brows and forehead to a more youthful position offering a brighter and refreshed eye and forehead area.
SURGICAL TREATMENT – BROW LIFT (FOREHEAD LIFT)
If your eyebrow droop is moderate to severe, then a brow lift (also called a forehead lift) is often the best option for surgical correction. In addition to raising the eyebrows for a more alert and youthful eye area, a brow lift also helps to smooth creases that develop across the forehead and soften frown lines that often appear high across the bridge of the nose and in between the brows (the 11′s).

NON-SURGICAL TREATMENT FOR EYEBROW LIFT
Botulinum toxin (Botox) can be injected into specific muscles that are responsible for raising the eyebrows. Relaxing the muscle helps open up the eye area and provide a well-rested, natural result lasting 3-6 months. This treatment works well for patients who have a mild brow droop. When the droop is moderate or severe, injecting Botox can actually make the droop worse. Botox is an excellent option for the horizontal forehead lines (worry lines) as well as the vertical lines between the eyebrows.

SAFE, EFFECTIVE, & NATURAL RESULTS
Dr. Chernoff has safely and effectively performed over four thousand eyebrow lift procedures. He uses a combination of endoscopic and advanced surgical techniques to promote rapid healing and recovery. Dr. Chernoff’s main goal is to provide patients with natural results and no sign of a cosmetic procedure.
IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR BROW LIFT SURGERY
A brow lift is an ideal procedure for healthy men and women who are looking to improve moderate to severe sagging and/or drooping of the eyebrow and eyelid. This surgery can be performed in the office, operating suite, or in an outpatient surgery center and is often combined with other procedures.
Based on each patient’s specific anatomy and the severity of the brow droop, there are several eyebrow lift surgical techniques that may be employed to achieve the desired result. The most common procedure is called an Endoscopic Brow Lift where Dr. Chernoff uses a small camera to perform the surgery with smaller incisions behind the hairline than with traditional brow lift techniques.
The procedure known as an endoscopic or minimal incision forehead lift or brow lift repositions or lifts the eyebrows to soften and refresh a tired, sad, or angry appearance. The endoscopic technique allows the procedure to be performed in a minimally invasive manner using small incisions hidden behind the hairline. The incision is then enclosed meticulously to provide an “invisible scar,” in most patients. The plastic surgery procedure is a permanent solution to drooping brows and yields a long-lasting result.
Some patients can still benefit more from an upper and lower eyelid lift if they have excess eyelid skin, fat deposits, bags, or excess skin under the eye.
Most patients are pleasantly surprised by what little pain they experience during recovery. When you wake up from surgery, you will have a bandage around the small incisions. This promotes optimal healing and recovery.
RECOVERING AFTER EYEBROW SURGERY
We are all different, and our bodies react and respond differently to surgery. Immediately after surgery, your forehead will feel sore. You could have some bruising and swelling for a few days. Cold compresses can help minimize the swelling and reduce pain. Taking arnica prior to the procedure can help, and your preoperative nurse will explain Dr. Chernoff’s recommendations.
The first few days after eyebrow surgery you will need to take it easy doing small tasks for short periods of time. Pain is relatively minimal, and most of our patients return to work in 4-7 days, depending more upon bruising than on discomfort. After the procedure, you will wear a small bandage on your forehead for several days. You will have tiny incisions that heal inconspicuously. It may be a couple weeks before you can return to strenuous activities like running or lifting heavy weights. We follow you closely after your eyebrow lift in Indianapolis or Santa Rosa and will monitor you carefully until you are healed.
