Reduce the Appearance of Your Cellulite with VelaShape Treatment

If you have cellulite, be comforted by the fact that up to 90% of women have or have had this pesky issue somewhere on their bodies. However, this doesn’t make cellulite any more attractive. Cellulite is when fat deposits beneath the skin cut through the skin’s connective tissue to create a dimpled appearance. Drinking lots of water, eating lots of vegetables, and doing strength exercises may help prevent cellulite from spreading further. But what do you do about the cellulite that is already present on your hips, thighs, abdomen, or other parts of your body? While cellulite cannot be eliminated yet, there are non-invasive procedures to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. VelaShape is a non-invasive procedure with proven results.
What is VelaShape?
VelaShape is an FDA-cleared non-invasive technique which uses heat, mechanical massage, vacuum suction, and radiofrequency treatments to help tighten the skin. The radiofrequency and the heat boost metabolism in the fat cells, vacuum suction smooths out the dimpled areas, while the mechanical massage gently massages the troubled spots. The VelaShape3 machine is VelaShape’s newest model, and it produces great results.
How does it work?
After a medical professional applies a spray to the area to be treated, the VelaShape machine is then placed on your skin. The treatment, which feels like a deep-tissue massage, lasts anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the surface area of the cellulite. Afterwards, the skin feels warm to the touch. There may be some tenderness which lasts for a few hours.
How many treatments are needed?
For treatments to be effective, you will need six to eight treatments, one week apart. To maximize VelaShape treatments, you should drink plenty of water and increase your daily intake of vegetables. After the six to eight treatments, it is recommended that you follow up with monthly maintenance treatments for three months. You can then reduce your maintenance treatments to every three months.
How long do results last for?
For those who have experienced VelaShape firsthand, results seemed to have lasted for roughly two years. The length of time does depend on how much you have changed your lifestyle. Are you doing strength training exercises? Are you drinking more water? Are you eating more vegetables?
What areas does it treat?
VelaShape is ideal for small areas that have cellulite. These usually include the stomach, hips, buttocks, and thighs.
Who is the right candidate?
VelaShape treatment is aimed at those with mild cellulite and a body mass index of below 30. Mild cellulite is categorized as Stage 1 and Stage 2. Stage 1 only shows dimpling with the pinch test and Stage 2 shows dimpling when standing up, but not while lying down. VelaShape is recommended if you have a small area on your body you wish to treat.
