Treat Frown Lines Between Your Eyebrows Today
With aging, our skin loses elasticity and our muscles operate closer to the surface of the skin. Frown lines and wrinkles become apparent the more muscle contractions our faces make.
Xeomin is an injectable option for the treatment of hyper-functional frown lines (the deep lines between the eyebrows).
Xeomin is similar to the popular injectable, BOTOX Cosmetic. Both products are made up of the neurotoxin botulinum toxin type A and are injected to correct frown lines and wrinkles by temporally blocking the signal between the nerve ending and the target muscle. Xeomin and the other neuromodulators relax the muscle and the skin lines in the affected area.
Dr. Greg Chernoff and his team of certified nurse injectors at Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery in Indianapolis, IN offer Xeomin to help fill in wrinkles and smooth out folds so you can look your natural best.
With Xeomin, you can also enjoy the subtle magic of a "lip flip" that enhances your smile's natural charm and conquers the gummy smile that's been bothering you.
And don't let facial thinning or the visible signs of Platysma (neck) band softening define your look. Xeomin empowers you to revitalize your beauty with results that speak for themselves.
Unlock the ageless you with Xeomin. Dr. Chernoff and our dedicated team are here to guide you toward the confidence and radiance you deserve.
Am I A Candidate For Xeomin?
The FDA approved Xeomin for the treatment of crow’s feet, horizontal frown lines in the forehead, and vertical lines between the eyes in adults. It is also FDA-approved for the treatment of certain movement disorders. Xeomin contains a purified form of the botulinum toxin and therefore prevents any clinical resistance and loss of effectiveness.
Prior to any treatment or procedure, Dr. Chernoff or one of our trained and certified Health Care Providers determine if you are a candidate, review the risks and benefits, and provide all possible treatment alternatives.
How Does Xeomin Work and How Is It Injected?
Dr. Chernoff and his certified nurse injectors use a fine needle to inject Xeomin through a series of small injections at the site of the wrinkles and frown lines. Anesthesia is not required before Xeomin is applied. Minor bruising can be expected.
Each patient’s body chemistry is different and as such, so will how fast results can be seen and how long results may last. On average, results can be detected as early as 3-4 days after the day of treatment and last as long as 3 months.
What Are The Differences Between Botox Cosmetic and Xeomin?
There are subtle differences between BOTOX Cosmetic and Xeomin. BOTOX Cosmetic contains accessory proteins whereas Xeomin does not. The naturally-occurring proteins have ‘presumably inactive’ surrounding accessory proteins which are stripped away and, thus, Xeomin represents the purified form of the active protein.
In theory, Xeomin would be less likely to produce ‘blocking antibodies’ that could potentially result, with repeated treatments, in an incomplete or no response to the drug. In practice, very few cosmetic surgery patients have ever developed blocking antibodies to any of the available neuromodulators – in other words, the theoretical advantage has demonstrated no clinical importance at this time.
Are There Alternatives to Xeomin?
Botulinum toxin is sold for cosmetic use under the names of BOTOX Cosmetic, Dysport, and Jeuveau. These products cannot be used interchangeably. Ask Dr. Chernoff which product will best address your facial renewal goals.
